There will be any number of teams happy to pay Rogers. Money will be no object.
So why would he pick Colorado and the Broncos?
I could see Miami before that (huge tax savings... enormous).
I could see New York Giants (huge media market with lucrative endorsement money).
I could see New Orleans (probably would have instant Superbowl probabilities).
But Denver? Why? They are nothing special in any way. In fact they'll probably have yet another new HC next year. Maybe before next year.
