I understand that and agree. Good QB's don't grow on trees. But settling for a guy who you know exactly what he can and can't do is just settling IMO.
I would much rather give an unknown a chance than settle for a middling QB who may or may not cost you games and will never win them for you. Granted, you're likely going to have to keep sifting with that approach but that seems more encouraging than anointing a JAG.
Denver's going through what many teams have to go through. Osweiler, Lock, etc. are all pretty lousy but I think you have to keep trying. Settling for a journeyman leads to great things about as infrequently as taking a chance on someone unproven.
