Ramsrule can back me up on this... early on I had seen Bradford on TV, (every game), then traveled, with Ramsrule, to see him live. Live makes for far better judgements, IMHO. I watched him play and after the game turned to Ramsrule and said, "He's good, he's not the guy". It killed me to say that... seriously.. because I loved Bradford.
I'm not going to go into it here but it was very similar to the way I saw Goff. Whom I also loved. Both were very, very talented... but something was missing. Lot of bad decisions, by both... certainly not all their fault, nor even most, but too many for an 'elite' QB.
I'll never forget getting Sam, I was as high as a kite. Same with Goff.. although up until about a week before the draft I was a Wentz guy... (yeah, doesn't speak highly of my prowess as a QB judge does it?
).
I do think you make a good point... if in the right place, the right support... I DO wonder about that. But then... and again, like Goff... I saw things they landed squarely on their shoulders, and somewhat often.
Hard to say that on the internet because people tend to read this and go extreme... "JamesJM thinks Bradford and Goff sucked"... and that couldn't be further from the truth. - JamesJM
