And if Everett were playing with the rules of 2010+, he wouldn't have been getting hit like he was back in the '80's. Yet, Everett still produced at a lot higher level. Everett was clearly a better overall passer. Bradford had a good arm, he just didn't utilize in a way that led to production. He was more about efficiency and a high completion %. But in terms of pushing the ball down the field, there is no comparison. Put Everett in a QB friendly system like McVay's and his numbers would have been even better than they were already. Bradford just never consistently challenged defenses or pushed the ball down the field. He had the arm to do it, but he rarely made it happen.
