Your right when it comes to "pressure dialed up". That will affect most qbs-so he's not alone. If only he had a great O line that would give him constant protection. He's got the talent to be really good-but he needs protection. I don't get what's going on with his hand. I know the ball was slippery from the rain but it didn't seem to bother Rogers. Some some really good things from him in the first half and then saw some old stuff we've seen before in the 2d half.
Well, even though his fans bristle at the suggestion, I think it actually has to do with his hand size. He fumbles too much for it not to be part of the issue. I think that physical limitation is coupled with a mental one though. He either loses focus, succumbs to pressure or just isn't aware enough of the game situations or some combination of all of the above.
The physical talent is borderline elite. But this is why McVay paid a king's ransom to get someone else. Goff will always be mediocre as long as he doesn't take care of the ball. Which is a shame. I didn't personally care for him but he "should" have been our franchise QB for a generation. Some guys just have a knack for turning it over and doing so at the worst possible time. Romo was kind of in that category. On paper, these guys look like they should be able to be all you want at QB but there's just a mojo about them that rears it's ugly head when you can least afford it to.
