No, they didn't say that about Stafford here in Detroit. He had a very strong and loyal fan base who saw how talented he was. Everybody knew that the coaching and ownership were the weak links.
It was only during the last few years that a few people in Detroit began to trash talk him or say they should trade him for a draft pick haul.
