Let’s wait and see how Atwell does when Stafford is throwing the ball around instead of Perkins/Hodges. There will be no comparison in terms of timing and placement, trust me.
Another thing is that Atwell will benefit tremendously by the presence on the field with him of Woods and Kupp in real games.
Atwell will NOT be force fed 12 targets per game in the regular season for obvious reasons. Defenders in the preseason knew that he was and could defend accordingly. In the regular season Atwell will be our 5th WR as long as the others remain healthy.
I’m inclined to give the Atwell pick the benefit of the doubt. Snead/McVay have earned that, I think.
