For a 150 lb WR, Tutu has done good so far in his NFL games.
Here's my take....
Punt returns / KO returns...He's done a great job, almost broke a few long runs. More importantly, he has no turned the ball over. IMHO, he's going to be back there as our PR/KO specialist.
I'm with the other guys as WR. Tutu has yet to be on the field with our WR group and packages. (Harris as well). Let's see what develops because Tutu will be a mismatch with another teams CB/S trying to cover him deep or on crossing routes that McVay loves to do. Also, he's yet to have any jet sweeps come his way.
Tutu has been the offense this preseason as far as targets go. He will not get that when kupp, woods, Higbee, Jackson, Jefferson, henderson are on the field. Everyone was all hyped up about van last year and he was pretty much ghosted most of the year. I don't see tutu playing more than van did last year unless we have injuries. He did take a couple of sweeps this preseason but no room for him. He will be our punt returner and will have to make a name for himself on special teams this year to see the field. Im sure they will have some designed plays to try and spring him but if you hear mcvay say that they are going to try and get tutu more involved that his kiss of death for players. I don't see tutu facing worse corners than he did this preseason in the regular season.
