So much garbage out there churning out content nowadays. Frankly it's disgusting.
First off with RBs you simply never know when they're gonna get injured. It's gonna happen. Now some guys tend to get dinged up quicker than others, but this is why the NFL has trended to running back by committee approaches. It's also why teams don't pay RBs big money. I mean look what happened when the Rams thought they were smarter than everyone else and redefined the RB pay chart with Gurley.
Michel adds a power element this backfield was missing. That's the important consideration here. The trade itself revolves around the FA pick compensation which is not prohibitive given the level of the player's talent. And lastly our RB coach knows him well, he coached him in college.
This was another shrewd move by the Rams just like what they did at QB. This team is better. Both those moves might end up being muddied by injury, that happens. But the key here is that the roster and the roles on said roster are significantly improved now. We are gonna feel Michel in this offense man. I'm pumped.
