Great point. Not all 1st round picks are the same, and the Rams' only top 10 1st rounder was 2017 from the Jared Goff trade.


Another key point is that, by rule, 1st round rookies get paid much more. As long as the Rams continue to get production from rounds 2-7, they save millions each year in spending money on rookies who are still learning their roles.
