He has a great way of seeing the truth and getting it out there in his discussions. Of course the Rams (to include McVay) are glad Goff is gone. Ike's comments are indicative of that IMO. I believe the locker room was aware they were a QB away from being a Championship team. Heck yes they're happy.
After this season all this stuff will look real clear in hindsight btw. But for now as usual Rich Eisen is seeing things clearly.
He's one of the best in the business because he is pretty fair, far-ranging, objective, and smart about how different aspects of the same story work.
And he does not reduce to saying the only thing you seem to think he said. He's better than that.
This stuff is all clear NOW. You just have to want to see it.
Which btw doesn't mean the Rams won't do well--of course they will. I think it helps the Rams, for example, that because Stafford is such an experienced vet, he will have a good influence on McVay. It won't just be that Stafford benefits from being in McVay's system, it will be better than that. It will also be the system evolving because McV will learn things from Stafford and Stafford's direct input.
