So now everyone who thinks Stafford is going to explode in this offense happen to be Goff supporters? Please.
.
But there seems to be a correlation.
My point has always been this: Let's wait and see.
What is so upsetting to people about that?
Your point has not been that 53. It has been much more than that. Your posts have almost sought after reasons to be unhappy with this season.
Also the correlation with Goff supporters is strongly the OTHER WAY. Most of them who are still upset with the Rams for moving him are the ones who are negatively slanted towards Stafford's addition.
You are right in your correction of YB--there is no such correlation. But then you err on the
other side of this. Who is "upset with the Rams for moving him"?
I have tried to tell you many times you are making assumptions about that that do not stand up. I see people who defend Goff against a lot of negative stuff who also are anywhere from okay with to completely sold on Stafford. In fact it's just plain not that many who are hesitant or skeptical about Stafford (and btw it would be fine if there were more--we're not a groupthink club, or we're not supposed to be anyway).
The thing is, if there is going to be a disconnect between the coach and the qb, it's going to be the qb who goes, not the winning coach. As long as that happened it is a GOOD thing that they ended up with a savvy 13 year vet who still has a lot of physical talent. Among the many advantages of that is that McVay is likely to learn a thing or two from having Stafford, which will be good.
