I see a lot of people excited about the trade and the potential but are there really that many people saying he's elite already?
It is not unprecedented for a QB to go from a bad situation to a much better one and really elevate his game. I think that is why people are expecting big things. Taking a franchise QB from one of the worst franchises and inserting him into one of the most QB friendly offenses and coach, leads one to imagine big things for Stafford and the Rams.
Doesn't it suggest to you that perhaps there is something to this conversation if there is so little argument from the experts? It is unusual for so many pundits to be in agreement about anything. They all seem to agree that Stafford has all the tools, measurables and intangibles, and is now being put into a golden opportunity. It really is reminiscent of Steve Young and Marshall Faulk.
