I think the battles for 2 interior positions are going to be significant. By no means is C or RG settled at this point.

I have never felt like we were sitting on a bunch of gems and I still don't. All these guys have holes in their game. So yeah RG is open for sure, and it should be the position that is open because we have stronger options at RG than we do if they opened up C for competition. I seriously doubt the C depth options can challenge Corbett, or perhaps more accurately with Corbett at C this line will be stronger due to more RG options.

Brewer is a darkhorse I'll admit. He's big and he's done some good things. So I'm content to wait and see who wins RG. Evans hopefully will take full advantage of this opportunity, but best case scenario for us is a multiple horse race to the finish line that is a photo finish to boot. Whoever emerges will probably be able to hold it down.

Another thing that will factor in here is team control. Ideally if things are close the winner will be the guy who the team controls for a longer period of time. So this season would be a nice investment in said player. Looking at the OL group from this perspective:

3 years' control - Anchrum
2 years' control - Whit, Havenstein, Evans, Edwards, Brewer
1 year's control - Corbett, Noteboom, Allen

So if the four OL with 2 years' control are starters that is best case scenario. Anchrum would be even better if he wins one of the spots. But bottom line is they don't want to have multiple starters who will be FA at season's end if they can prevent that. Now that's not to say they would elevate a guy over another due to team control alone. But it's going to factor in.
