I think some fans got worried about Evans performance at LG in the divisional round vs. GB. That was, really, his only action of 2020. He played well as a rookie at RT in 2019. I do think he's more of a RT than guard but if he is the starting RG from day one (mid-May) I think he can be fine in that role come September 12th.
Then, like you said, you hope for one of Brewer or Anchrum to be reliable depth with Noteboom having the ability to spot start at LT if necessary.
The problem with citing his stint at ROT is that ROTs traditionally get a lot of help. At guard he was more one on one, and you can't set the offense up to help a guard the same way you can set up help for an ROT. So I am not reassured about Evans from his games at ROT in 2019. I just notice that both Corbett and Edwards were ahead of him at guard.
Evans may have issues, he may not, but it would not surprise me if he did.
