Bad or not, those are still the options. Rams will choose the best option for them and probably keep drafting LOT’s until they’re satisfied.

And btw, extending Boom is not really a ‘bad’ option. Might not be your ideal solution, but it’s not really a ‘bad’ option.

Yeah extending NB is a bad option. It means the OL goes down a peg in quality.

What you didn't follow in this is that some of them are bad options because they have slim odds of actually working. If you follow the argument--that's not a matter of opinion.

Sign a FA? Starting caliber LOTs hardly ever make it to the market. You can't sign guys if there aren't any.

Draft one? Pretty much can't if you don't have a 1st round pick. I did the numbers, they're the odds are against finding a starting LOT after round 1.

Their best (and in fact only good) option is to trade up into round 1.

So, I’m gonna kick back and enjoy this ‘21 season and worry about LOT next year.

No you're going to go way out on a limb and declare they're right.

It's simple. The options are not good. They can luck out and maybe there's a free agent. But you can't count on that. They can hope to draft someone in round 2 but in fact the math on that is easy--the odds are heavily against finding a guy. They can trade up into round 1, which is their best bet. Or that can start a decent pass blocking, poor run blocking Noteboom, and extend him too.

I won't go out on any limb. I don't know what will happen and I do not know if they made a good choice. That remains to be seen.

The fact that they "planned" means nothing. Is it a GOOD plan? You don't know that anymore than I do. I just know a lot is at stake, and the options do not add up very well. And Stafford is no more going to rise above a bad or mediocre situation at LOT than any other qb is (or can). Not even Mahomes could do it.
