They had 9 last year, 9 this year, and they are projected to have 11 next year.
They have no 1st round picks, but they've had plenty of other picks. Snead is very good at producing extra picks with trade downs and how they manage free agency.
The contracts are another story
Except I did the numbers of tackles drafted in a 10 year period from rounds 2-7 that ended up being established starting LOTs.
It's around 5%.
The rule is, if you want a left OT, you have to pick in round 1.
So their best option in landing a left OT is to trade up into round 1.
...
I wasn't responding in regards to drafting a OT....just to the notion that the Rams have no picks or a shortage of picks because of the trades for Goff/Ramsey/Stafford. They've had more than 7 picks in every draft since the Goff trade in 2016. After next year that will be 6 years in a row with extra picks.
It's certainly a disadvantage not having first round picks, but they have the players they got for the picks and they've done a great job in acquiring extra picks in rounds after the 1st.
