Really informative stuff. Some tidbits:
1. They like the Rams draft strategy, saying that if you don't have a first round picks, throw darts from day 2 and on because of the lower probability of them working out. They say that they would've picked different players but they said that they do like the Rams process of grabbing as many day two and day three picks as possible. I think the Rams had nine picks total this year and I think they're projected to have a similar amount next year.
2. Atwell wasn't their favorite pick but they didn't talk too much about the reach. They instead focused on tutu being in the best position he could ask for. They said that if all things go well he will likely replace Jackson in 2022 and it's good that he gets to sit back a year and learn Jackson's role. They mentioned that drafts aren't about the immediate return. I thought that was interesting to talk about because the Rams seem to never draft for immediate need. They're always looking a year or two down the road.
3. Didn't have much to say about brown or Jones. Just describe what their roles are which we already know. They did however call Rochelle and Harris "intriguing picks". Apparently Harris tested out in the top 99th percentile of wide receivers which they found astounding with his size and they talk about Rochelle is being the ideal corner prospect just in the sense of measurables. According to them when you get to the fourth round you either need to be drafting highly productive players or highly traits based players. In their opinion the Rams grabbed players who, if developed right, could be big impacts.
4. Overall they agreed that the Rams draft haul was okay and that Stafford on the roster alone makes the Rams choice of draft picks worth it.
5. No mention of the offensive line although we know PFF likes the Rams offensive line more than a lot of us do
Some non Rams tidbits:
They disagree about trade lands with one saying that he's worth it in shanahan's offense and the other saying that if you did a thousand simulations there would be more Mac Jones successful simulations than Trey Lance. Even though he says that Trey Lance will have the higher ceilings in those simulations
They mentioned tavon Austin in a segment that had nothing to do with the Rams lol they were just talking about how he was a fast guy who didn't really have a position and therefore it turned out to be an occasional jet sweep and punt returner. I think McVay's idea is that at well has a lot better traits than that.
They weren't very high on the Seahawks draft saying that trading away Adams put them in a bind and reaching for eskridge did not fare well for them. I wanted to point this out because they didn't mention Atwell as a reach but they did mention eskridge as a reach. They also mentioned that one person that they both talked to said that they hated the Seahawks draft
