But instead seem to take a sober/neutral approach of saying that the Rams upgrading at quarterback and becoming the favorites in the NFC West then pressured the 49ers to have to respond by going and getting someone. they were even giddy about the trade talking about how this could be shanahan and Ryan all over again. But they did manage to emphasize that they thought that the Rams moves at quarterback prompted this level of movement from the Niners.
And while they have been after quarterbacks for quite a while now, I believe Stafford was one of the first people they kicked the tires on. So clearly they viewed Stafford the way we viewed Stafford an opportunity for them to become a super bowl contender with the legitimate quarterback. They balked at the price, which is something they were actually criticized by some of their own for (Shanny and Lynch were starting to develop a reputation for not going all in when they have the chance).
so, my original point is still my same opinion. That in a matter of weeks the 49ers went from a team that wouldn't overspend on a 33-year-old quarterback who could push them over the hump and went now mode to then giving up three first round picks for an unknown rookie. It seems very unlike them which is what a lot The radio show was also stating. And winning your division always comes first. you think of the Rams stayed Pat they would make a move this drastic? I don't think they're afraid of the Cardinals or Seahawks but that's just my opinion
