That is the core of the problem here.

Goff is gone, done deal. On to Stafford.

But fans should be genuinely concerned about McVay's leadership. Is it an age thing? better with more experience?

This move with Goff is arguably unprecedented. Fans should go back and look at Mannings, Brees, etc. first five seasons. QB's don't get paid then launched. They also take time to mentor.

Bottom line: we are going to find out next season. Will he micromanage Stafford? Will Stafford have 5 QB coaches in 5 seasons? Will they extend him, then he plays poorly at 33+ and they move on again?
