He was just interviewed on it and was fairly balanced (loves both guys), but made it clear that McVay hasn't been the same since losing the SB. Cowherd also commented on him losing to Shanahan multiple times has to sting....
If you listen, it's clear: McVay was a frontrunner and has been figured out on offense. Jared did not adjust to it well.....and IMO, McVay didn't either (see: play calling). Combustible relationship between two young guys......but McVay is the leader and should bare more responsibility.
McVay's reputation is now solely attached to Stafford and winning a Super Bowl. Otherwise, it's not hard to see him going the way of Mike Martz: brilliant offensive mind, but when adversity hits, he has a meltdown (I think the coaches leaving is also a sign) and jettison's QBs. He is a great football mind, but this move is going to hang around his neck either way.
Snead is most definitely an enabler. And he is lucky he works for Silent Stan.
