1) McVay has some leadership issues - "Sean lost touch with how much he was breaking Jared down, but there's got to be the build back up," a league source said." This reflects badly on his leadership. I hope he grows here.

2) Goff knew about the problems - The problem in the relationship between McVay and Goff had been brewing for 2 seasons. I think we can put to bed the whole idea that Goff was blindsided. Unfortunately, both of them appear to be passive-aggressive types where they complain about one another to others but didn't maturely sit down and work out their issues. (FWIW, I put more blame on the main leader (McVay), the guy who's supposed to be the most mature.)

3) The Rams brain trust, Snead and McVay, shoulder a lot of the blame - The article says that Belichick "cracked the code." And while it's true that the Pats did expose the scheme and Goff in the Super Bowl, those things had already started to be exposed that season with strong, Belichick type defenses - the Bears, Lions, etc. The decision to give him that contract extension should now be viewed with a more critical eye. It's a black mark on Snead and McVay and whoever else in that front office who signed off on that.

4) It's conclusive now that Goff struggles with processing - "Goff struggled to recognize coverage disguises and didn't consistently identify coverage post snap as the play developed. When a defense ran Cover Zero with no safeties deep, his decision-making process often didn't happen quickly enough to hit the big play." This verifies what so many fans were saying.
