The Rams brought in just 2 guys last year - Leonard Floyd and A'Shawn Robinson.

Floyd replaced Fowler, and that's either a wash or a gain depending on who you talk to.

And Robinson was kind of a non-factor as a FA signing: 6 solo tackles, 6 assists, 0 sacks.

I'm pretty sure the Rams haven't brought in anyone other than DeSean Jackson this year, but it's not like last year was so much better.

I don't think any comparisons make sense.

The single most dominant factor in 2019 was the OL struggling. It struggled for lots of reasons and then had to replace 3 injured starters with completely inexperienced replacements. Teams do no do well with those kinds of OL issues. To me, any time the OL issues are excluded, it's not (and can't be) a complete analysis.

OL health alone made 2020 different, plus they revived the running game (for obvious reasons). And even then were only 1 game different from 2019.
