The Rams, fresh off their 2019 campaign where they finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs, have taken a huge step backwards leading up to the 2020 season.
It';s a quip kind of move to one-up a guy you're in a personal conflict with, but--do a different year. Do the difference between 2001 and 2002. Did losing Fletcher REALLY mean they couldn't get better? Teams can always get better.
Or I will reverse it because it applies either way. How can they be better in 99? Trent Green has never had a winning season.
In other words, at this stage in any off-season it's all anyone's guess as to whether they stepped up or back.
Acting like taking one side or the other in that kind of discussion is worthy of being called a homer, or made fun of, or be the subject of personalizing pile-ons? I submit that all of that is just bad posting. Even if we personally don't like a guy who said something we can't abide. I submit that discussion can be better than that.
