But this Kromer departure is different entirely. I suspect that Kromer said or did something that the Rams just couldn’t abide and thus the ‘mutual parting of ways’. A completely different animal.

Didn't the same thing happen with Fassel?

Fassel was in the doghouse already after calling that surprise fake punt AND his ST stats had been steadily declining for several years.

Kromer seemed to be a productive pillar on McVay’s O staff.

We’re missing something and I think it’s something pretty serious, at that.

Sure, Fassel might have been in the doghouse and the ST stats might have been declining. But then McVay goes out and gets Bonamego who I don't think anyone here would say that he had a good year. What place did rams ST rank this year? Was Fassel's stats declining to a point that low?

It is quite fishy to me all these departures and then the real question is McVay's ability to replace them with quality coaches. Staley was a winner... other coaches, not sure.
