Now, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. It may be very good for us as Rams fans. But I’m not deluded myself into thinking McVay is a nice guy.

McVay poisoning relationships is news to me. First time I’ve even heard a whisper of such a thing. Didn’t McVay have Shula even be a house guest of his early on? Seemed to have zero problem quickly hiring asst coaches since 2017. Quite the contrary, seems to have candidates beating down his door for an interview. Any openings seem to only last days.

As to treating Goff like crap? We know that they had a 4 hour meeting during which anything and everything could have been discussed. 4 hours, man! Spent 41 games trying to revive Goff’s career while burning up prime years for other teammates, including AD. We’ll never know for sure, but it’s possible that Goff’s private conduct may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back. NOBODY offload’s a young, healthy QB with any kind of a future, especially one with a crippling contract, unless all other reasonable avenues have been explored.

I’ve said repeatedly that the pressers could have been handled more diplomatically, but once the decision was made it was all business as far as I’m concerned and I applaud Snead/McVay for moving mountains to get the best possible QB.

I’m calling BS on the ‘poisoning relationships with assistants’ until I see or hear legit corroboration. Something a helluva lot more solid than a private tweet from Kromer’s daughter, anyway. Not implying that you made that up, btw, but I need something far more solid, you know?
