IMO goff knew he was gone at the end of the year, he had no intentions of making the changes mcvay wanted.....because he couldn't. the question i have is did he know that before he signed the contract ? inquiring minds want to know..
This has nothing to do with "being gone." As was said several times in the discussion, this is not about the trade. Either way, do you think BR thought the Steelers were content with their qb situation? Yet they still had the decency to say something to him first
before saying in public they could not endorse him as the starting qb. Rams couldn't do the same? And--again--not talking about the trade.
And of course also as was said, the main issue was Snead's rather inappropriate and snickery press conference (also not about the trade).
And also--you're mindreading. How do you know what either the qb or the coach intended or thought? You actually believe there is a qb in the NFL who has "no intention" of playing the head coach's offense? Name me other examples of that. Make it a nice long list.
It's interesting that the GM who traded for him (and turned down a high 2021 first rounder to do it) was with the Rams for Goff's whole career. Wonder if he knows that Goff is the only qb in the NFL who had no intention of playing his coach's offense.
