I guess my question was more rhetorical now that I think about it lol.
My bad.
I don't take a lot from those early reports from Goff's perspective.
I'm patient. We're almost to March.
And 2 things about these reports from Goff's perspective. It's simple logic really.
1. No one associated with Rams management has countered or denied anything he said. And they have all sorts of avenues for doing that too--like the "unnamed source with the Rams" thing with an eager local reporter.
2. Denying Goff's perspective would mean he is lying. Or worse, people misconstrue the situation and set it up so somehow it's his fault for not knowing things. When of course we know very well that it's the coaches job to directly convey such things--something the Steelers made very clear they know all about. If you're a boss somewhere I hope you don't try to run things by counting on people guessing how you feel.
The wrong way is for the qb to hear about it in public first, which is just plain not good (and I am not talking about the trade). The Steelers directly said we have conveyed all this to BR. That's easy to do, easy to say, and is the right way to do it.
And that's setting aside Snead acting unprofessionally in answering questions about the qb situation in public, which is my main complaint.
