The 2021 salary cap is a problem. They seem to have little wiggle room this year (at least right now) it may be more convenient for the rams to offer multiple year deals with a low base this year.
Yes, it's a problem right now but they have several ways to free up money this year. They have several prime candidates to be traded such as Havenstein or Brockers. They can restructure Donald, Ramsey, Stafford, Woods, and Kupp.
That's a lot of levers to pull. They probably don't want to pull them all now but by my calculations, if they did, they could wipe $75M of this year's cap. So wiggle room can be created if the right opportunities arise.
