They need speed at wideout. This guy can give it to them. They don't need a slot per se, however slot is a position that is easier for a rookie to have impact due to the easier release. Rodgers gives them another speed option for taking deep shots and he could function as a bit of a gadget player in this offense, imagine his speed and ability on a jet sweep.
But he's also a returner. So his role in this offense would be there and he'd also give us a boost in the return game. Pretty nice fit with this guy IMO, to the point where I think they for sure like him. Probably gonna be a circled name on the board just gonna come down to whether things line up.
