I made a simple point, and it led to a way out of proportion board war. Reminds me when I used to raise issues in 2000 about Zygmunt and the backlash was severe--worst backlash I ever got as a poster. By 2006 it was a popular position.

Honestly. Asking if promoting Pleasant might have been a good idea (and he could have been promoted to defensive passing game coordinator) is not the stuff of angry board wars and personal attacks. Or so you would think. (And you aren;t one of the people who resorted to that. You're more just miffed for no good reason.)

As for your points.

#2. I tend to notice that a lot of McVay's coaches come from a very narrow set of the same kinds of guys who all knew each other. It's all the Gruden/Shanahan connections. I don't care about that either way cause he has a good staff. He gets more outside the usual circle with defensive hires, like Henderson the DL coach.

#3. No one said a word about the coach's recent hires. I don't know where that comment even comes from, to be honest. Not sure what you misconstrued to take something that way.

#4. Lack of continuity is a real thing and can happen. Successful defenses can lose continuity. Logically comment #4 doesn't add up (?) The only issue in this case is if the continuity issues are strong enough to have an effect. Either way it's a minor issue, just worth bringing up in honest discussion.
