Why on earth would 'being happy' negate wanting to get better? Note: not debating here whether or not the Ram's ARE better with Stafford, but obviously the Ram's think they are.
Also.. it's a game of inches... progress can't be measured strictly by W's & L's, be they playoff W's & L's or not. You don't see that the Ram's could have lost to GB but played MUCH better?
There is also a reset every year, to varying degrees... players age, players get traded, players retire, ETC. Why would anyone assume the '21 team will be precisely the same as the '20 team for any QB, including Goff, who was at the helm?
