Colin Cowherd pointed it out yesterday that the Niners tried to get Stafford but Detroit wanted Goff over Jimmy G and they also turned down #8 overall and a second from Panthers which is probably going to be much better than two future late 1st picks.

Look, I like Goff and have already thanked him for the memories. But he never would have been able to get us a ring once D’s figured him out. I applaud Rams for biting the very expensive bullet and going out to get Stafford. Just as they made painful decisions to move on from Gurley and Cooks. It’s just business.
