Carolina offered the 8th pick. Detroit already had the 7th. With picks 7 and 8 the Lions could have taken any number of qbs. They turned that down.
Meanwhile the Lions did want Goff. Their GM is the Rams former chief scout and he played a big role in drafting Goff in 2016. He was with the Rams for the last 5 years and knows all about Goff.

Doesn’t change the fact that Rams had to pay a humongous premium to Lions to take Goff off their hands. That was Rocks main point. And it IS humiliating.
All "umms" aside, no it changes the myth that your argument means what you think it does.
Detroit wanted Goff and had other options in trading Stafford.
Is that really hard for you to accept for some reason?
