They gave him a massive pile of cash - a big mistake for a RB. But he got his - how can he be surprised that they wanted to move on from him when it's clear to everyone that he will never be the same player he once was. His numbers in Atlanta were underwhelming.

In 2 or 3 years, if Goff is a middle of the pack QB on a struggling Detroit team - will he be bitter? Or thankful he made as much as he did in a few short years and able to keep playing and getting paid. Time will tell.
