I was fine with the idea that Goff could rebound in 2021 with an interior OL upgrade and a deep threat at WR4. But I had real concerns this year when the offense became SO truncated as I just didnt see the OL as a liability. So I kept wondering, what was it?..

A lot of people mention the Miami game but that did not bother me much. In hindsight the Dolphins were a pretty good team playing at home coming off a bye week while the Rams traveled cross country on a short week. Plus Goff played well in subsequent games vs SEA, TB and AZ.

But the Jets game and then 2nd SEA game were hard to defend. And by defend I mean all the people around me that were saying Goff was now holding the team back or that at least he was not a QB that could overcome when other aspects of the team were underperforming.
