i didn't actually fall off the goff bandwagon. wouldn't say i was his #1 fan coming out of cal {i was a wentz guy and i admit i was wrong - goff has proven himself to be better in my mind}, but i embraced goff as our qb once he got on the field and never let go.

i'm patient to a fault on some occasions, optimistic often. and those applied to goff. was hoping he'd find life after gurley 's health downfall {which to me was goff's real demise with the rams} with henderson and ackers and brown. i'm mean, it was that long ago that the mcvay and snead decided goff was the man and rewarded him with a large extension. i've trusted the snead/mcvay regime because i think they've earned it ..... when they traded for cooks and signed n suh the media was clammering/complaining the rams were going all in now/selling the future for a superbowl. well. what did they do? answer: went to the superbowl {without gurley and kupp}.

but i accept that things change. and fast. the fo did what they did. i can't change that, i don't get a say, and i understand they know waaaaaayyyy more than i do about managing the rams. in the words of sgt schultz: i know nothing.

i'm a bit of a georgia fan. i enjoyed matt in college and always appreciated what he did in detriot with typically significant pieces missing from the team. i'm concerned about the # of sacks he takes but don't know enough to pinpoint the cause. i'm hoping mcvay, our oline, wr's and running game can minimize those sacks. if stafford can be kept clean i shudder to think what he can do with a supporting offensive cast and a top 10 defense.

i do believe stafford gives the rams a much better chance at another ring than goff in the next 1-5 years. but that doesn't mean i fell off the goff bandwagon. i wish goff well but not against my rams.
