She's actually saying unloading TGIII (severe injury issues), but keeping him would have kept our O heading up? Cooks same way with concussion issues. I must say IMO the more major issue with Brandon was that rather high contract deal. To talk about and put Goff in that grouping he'd have to be an NFL MVP (Gurley) or be a top notch WR on Multiple teams (Cooks). Thus far he's neither one.
Sean has taken a team that hadn't smelled air for a decade and brought the team into playoff caliber in a tough division to boot. I just don't get the angst or anger or dismay people have over what's happened....with Gurley it was a knee, with Cooks it was concussions, with Dante it was $'s, with Goff it was turnovers and up and down play......In each instance it looks as though he and the staff have done well in replacement (Cooks was never really replaced), but the others have been addressed. He's done the same with Jared, the outcome can't be seen for 8 months.
I don't see how he has treated anyone poorly.....if you have a job and the guy has been with you and helped you but your return is not panning out you go......didn't hear him bad mouth him, I did hear him say he needed to lessen his errors, what's wrong with that? He didn't say he's my guy and then in the middle of the night trade him to hide anything. If Jared had a season of say 27 TD's 12 INT's he'd be in HORNS today....IMO just like a HC goes for constant losing seasons, a player goes for constant miscues. 2 years in a row and really subpar play from a guy that seemed to be a quality go to guy on the rise.....you can't keep filling the gas tank if the tank has a hole, you'll blow up.
