Darnold comes with risk but he makes a ton of sense. First off he has good talent which means you get that important upside. Secondly he played in the Coliseum in LA. He has excellent mobility, not an aggressive runner but a very good athlete who can take what is there. I think a switch has flipped with McVay and I think mobility is important.
Where Minshew has value is as a cheap fallback and competition option if they keep Goff. Which I presume they are going to do. But if they do make a break from Jared I think Darnold will be high on their list.
