I had to post that, he's short and his arm is okay, but that's what I don't want. If a QB is going to replace Goff, I want somebody, bigger, stronger and faster like Jamie Newman for example, but Minshew is not that and IMO is a very good backup. I've seen countless trades involving him and I believe Minshew is a good enough QB to make you lose...No thanks.
As to the rest of your plan, traded are fine, but you must have a partner that will make the deal, you did not post what team would make that deal for Goff and as to the draft choices, if would be nice to know who you like with all those draft choices.
Honestly, it doesn't have to be Minshew. It appears I like him better than you do but Darnold would be another option. What I was mostly going for there is the idea that with a determination that Goff isn't the answer, trade him to shed that salary and get a decent placeholder. (borrowing this phrase from 43.)
I'm not really convinced Minshew, Darnold, Jamie Newman, Mac Jones, or any of the other proposed names would be the answer either but at least we wouldn't be paying any of those guys $35M so it would be much easier to accumulate talent around them.
Teams that I think could be interested in Goff are the Colts, NE, and Washington. Possibly others since that type of thing is often surprising.
I'm in the infancy stage of evaluating draft prospects. I usually start that after the Senior Bowl since the Rams love drafting players that stood out there. I'm sure I'll post another mock offseason this year given all the uncertainty and when I do it will have more names for the draft picks.
