I don’t think OL needs THAT much help, dude.
That seems like overkill on the interior OL.
A LOT that fell might make some sense thinking Boom could move over to RT replacing Hav next season? That might fit nicely into Snead’s ‘draft them a year ahead’ strategy.
Let me think about that a little bit...
I would bet that no small amount of our OL's struggles stem from the fact that the defense "knows" where Goff is going to be. They have no fear of Goff maneuvering in the pocket, much less taking off and running. They can just pin their ears back and meet at the statue in the middle. Granted, our OL gets overpowered but that could be mitigated with some more options from the QB.
Our team was arguably a 13 win team if every single thing remained the same but we got better QB play. And we've seen that the level of QB play shouldn't be too hard to improve on based on what Goff produced and what his peers produced.
you obviously dont have game pass or record the games or even pay much attention to the live game if you believe any of what you just said there
either that or Goff ran over your dog or something, anyone complains about Goff or blaming him in any way for THAT game has
get over it already.....he's not going to magically disappear no matter how many times you click your heels
We'll see.
But I'm not sure why you think I'm the one not watching games if you don't think Goff is immobile and a liability in the pocket? He also does not see/take positive plays that are there to be had. The scheme and playcalling and even OL are all acceptable enough if there is a QB who can read a defense and get the ball to the right receiver.
There have been multiple All-22 reviews that clearly illustrate this, going all the way back to '18.
That isn't anything personal against Goff, just the reality of the situation. He just hasn't consistently exhibited that special mental makeup that separates a good QB from a guy with a good arm.
