On the road, in cold weather against a rested team. We were missing our best receiver, our QB had a wonky thumb and the leagues best defensive player was a shell of himself. We played against the best QB in the league (one of the best all time), one of the league's best receivers, a great running game and a great O-line. And STILL we were only down one score in the 4th quarter. We played like what we were - a 6th round wild card team. Historically those games don't go in the underdog's favor.
Does it have to be - Goff wasn't good enough, or McVay was outcoached - how about the better team won. It was just their day.
