You can spin it and try to qualify it all want, but you can't have it both ways....
This is the QBR for THIS week in the PLAYOFFS where it's do or die and there is no denying it.....watch the game again if you can, I watched the ALL 22 today and he played as well as he pretty much could have...only reason that was even a close game is because Goff kept answering the bell, we all know the defense didn't......this is in the cold where many said Goff can't play with a surgical repaired thumb less than 20 days earlier mind you
You have to objectively look at these facts here are the QBR's
Rodgers 92.1
Goff 84.4
Mahomes 75.7
Mayfield 64.2
Jackson 55.7
Allen 51.0
Brees 31.7
Go ahead and spin it all you want....Goff played well when it was the most crucial time to do so
I never use ESPN's QB rating. It is far too flawed even though it does try to incorporate some things that aren't used in the NFL's passer rating formula. I refuse to use ESPN's subjective view of anything. They are the worst.
But there is no spin. Goff did not produce. He didn't turn the ball over either but he didn't produce. 174 yards and 1 TD. That isn't acceptable from a #1 overall pick being paid top dollar to produce.
Not only that, Goff's whole postseason career is like that. He has NEVER thrown more than 1 TD in a playoff game. Why would you argue that that's ok?
