I am not too crazy to think about getting rid of a HC over a QB unless I thought I could correct coarse and be back in it with a new HC. McVays gifts of leading men are not exclusive. His offensivie accumen is exciting and refreshing but it now has regressed and many have wondered if after his first 2 seasons if defenses had figured him out. McVay has struggled to revamp his offense and instead seen some of his best players also regress along with it. Players he has vouched for have become expendable and his results have become less impressive with the exception that he has maintained control of his players but now we are facing a rebuild and it is debatable that he can suddenly restore our offense to a more level doing things his way. If it were easy to do that he could have done it already.
We are seeing other OC and HCs producing consistently explosive offenses while we have regressed.
We are seeing Rookie QBs in these offenses maximize thier skillsets and thier weapons.
So we have Goff only the 2nd QB we have had to take us to a SB in multiple decades struggle with a changed offense
So we have McVay only the rd HC to take us to a SB in 2 decades struggle to maintain an elite offense which has regressed yearly
Doing the Math it is easier to replace a HC if you believe you have a QB that can produce at a very high level and lead your team to playoffs and championships.
Doing the logic if you feel that you have a great HC you trust that he can help you sustain success and correct course seamlessly with personnel changes and promoting success. It is not necessarily the offense or defense scheme but the leadership and the coaching staff they assemble. Thise types of Coaches are keepers.
Who are the next leaders of men and who have an offensive accumen that could also reboot this teams offense and QB? Who are the best HC candidates who could have sucess with this team or is there anyone worthy of consideration?
Before you get too worked up. Keep in mind many covet players on other teams and it is not unatural to covet coaches or systems. So I feel it is only fair to ask this question since several on this board seem to think dumping a $134 mil is addition by subtraction. If they are wrong then this question is very valid for consideration.
