if he's healthy. Said that a few times now so yeah, I know I'm repeating myself... but really.... starting Wolford with a healthy Goff would be the shock of my life.
Well, that’s the thing. How do we define ‘healthy’ for Goff?
He suffered a dislocation and fracture of his thumb on his throwing hand just 7 days ago, followed by surgery the following day.
So, realistically, how ‘healthy’ can he be, anyway? And McVay must have him able to throw NFL passes in a playoff game in 6-7 days from now. A very tall order.
We both know that there’s no way that Goff will be 100%. Will it be 70%? 80%? More?
Or is it possible that a 100% Wolford gives the Rams the better chance for a win in this next game?
I dunno. And I’ll bet that McVay doesn’t know yet, either. He’s gonna wisely wait and see how Goff looks and listen to what the doctors say, maybe right up until gametime. Might have to install 2 different game plans this week which might be easier because of familiarity with the Seahawks.
Gonna be tricky. One of those ‘no wrong answer’ things?
