I remember somebody saying that about Warner in 2002. The Rams started 0-4 with Warner, 0-1 with Martin and then Bulger went 5-0. At 5-5, Martz started Warner in Washington because Bulger was "injured". Trailing by 3, first and goal on the WFT 6 yard line with 17 seconds left, Warner fumbled the ball on an Arrington sack. The next week in Philly, in 35 degree weather, he couldn't grip the ball throwing 2 picks and losing a fumble. Two 3 point losses and the next (and last) game Warner started for the Rams was week 1 of 2003 because Jamie Martin started week 13 against KC. Bulger recovered and went 1-1 the last 2 weeks of the season. Of course, who believes Martz started Warner over a healthy Bulger against the Redskins? Is it conceivable Warner could have talked himself into the starting lineup over Martin? I guess it's possible. So could Goff talk himself into the starting lineup in the postseason over Wolford? Depends on how Wolford plays Sunday I would suspect.
Interesting trip down memory lane. In terms of that happening this year? I think it;s far-fetched at best.
On top of it, Martz was infamous for overlooking injuries. He would constantly goad banged-up players into playing. At one point Kyle Turley nearly assaulted him over it.
McVay is the opposite---he is far more likely to err on the side of caution.

I agree, McVay isn't Martz. But if we should win and get in or Chicago loses to Green Bay, which in my mind is far more likely and
Wolford doesn't surprise everybody, what do you suppose McVay's thinking would be? Start Goff even at 75%? Start Wolford against the Saints? Or Seattle?
