So you have to keep them honest with the deep ball. And it has to be a ligit threat. Rams are condensing and compacting their offense to passes that are pseudo run plays and this style leads to a lot more 3rd downs and a lot more FG's and a lot less TD's.
It is definitely a compensation for Goff, which is depressing to hear at this point.
