Jourdan breaks down very specifically what they are doing to help Goff. She gets into specifics and even talks about how they have incorporated his reaction to pressure even with a 4 man rush into him getting rid of the ball quickly.
She specifically mentions the play where he dumped to Higbee rather than wait a tick for Kupp to break deep and why he is doing that as opposed to taking the shots down the field that are also in the play call
They both talk about deep shots are in this offense but they are not being executed because of the way Goff responds to pressure and the Rams are basically accepting that. They also say that the idea that the Rams don't have a deep threat and aren't able to throw deep because Cooks is gone is total BS. Yes they said BS. They said McVay is scheming the deep passes but they just aren't executing it and it's because of how Goff handles pressure particularly 4 man rush.
They explain the Rams are 6th in terms of averaging explosive pass plays in the NFL despite Goff's apa being one of the lowest in the NFL. This obviously means they are getting the explosive run after catch plays.
After listening its pretty clear how restricted the Rams are right now as a result of how poorly Goff handles pressure and them just keeping everything so simpl so as to not have him make the kinds of mistakes he made against SFx2 and Miami
