Great win for the Rams but another inconsistent night for Goff. Two different QB's from half to half. This game shouldn't have been close at all. But, 2 picks and a fumble in the 2nd half left the Rams depending on their defense to seal the deal. Which they did. The team will be in a much better spot if it has a dominant defense than a one dimensional, passing offense anyway. Top defense, solid running game, OL still doing well, best two YAC WR's in football...Goff really has no more excuses.
Honestly, we shouldn't be praising him for "only" 2 turnovers and a fumble. Now, don't confuse that with criticizing. He contributed to a big road win against a good team. But he does deserve just as much criticism as praise with how much his game dropped off in the second half. Just put it ALL together for crying out loud.
"This game shouldn't have been close at all"...C'mon man. Be honest. You didn;t even expect us to win this game yet alone keep it close!
This game would have been a blowout if it wasn't for the refs.
As for the picks...be serious man, NOBODY is "praising" Goff for his int's however one of those int's was on Henderson not stopping his route and the other Woods was hit early by the db. Goff threw it to the correct spot. It WOULD have been caught by Woods if that DB wasn't riding his back. The fumble looked like the ball was snapped early. How is that on Goff? Sigh.
Goff played a VERY VERY good Defense and played better than most of his critics will admit. He OUTPLAYED the GOAT.
How did Tom Shady do in the second half?!?!?! His game really "dropped off in the second half" too didn't it?
Goff had a crucial drive at the end of the first half to put us up by 3...very clutch IMO. He did it AGAIN at the end of the game. He drove us down and got us in position to win the game...again...very clutch. I bet that surprised you didn't it?
No, Goff didn't have a PERFECT game but he IS improving. If you don't see that, then I don't know what to tell you.
Goff was very much part of the reason we won this game and I APPRECIATE Jared Goff!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
