Seems like a no brainer to me to pound them until they could prove they could stop us.
I didn't like the game plan and I didn't like the empty sets. I don't really recall Goff ever thriving out of empty sets but I don't have the research in front of me just going by memory.
The only benefit of this is the rams are going to come back focused against the Seahawks which is a much bigger game
Bout threw the remote through the TV when he did that
Had a chance to run the ball down there with a timeout in our pocket and he goes and calls a time out ...I'm like WTF!!!????
Yeah...I was thinking the same thing. I'd need to see the play clock again, but...if memory serves me, the Rams broke the huddle with an empty backfield. Knowing the problems we had earlier in the half with the Dolphins sending pressure, I'm thinking that McVay may have been watching to see if Goff checked out of the play. Again, I don't recall where they were at with respect to the play clock, but I'm beginning to think that McVay suspected that Goff was going to push ahead with the empty backfield play. Fearing ANOTHER bad outcome, he called the TO. Don't even remember the formation coming out of it.
This game reinforces my belief that, even in year 5, Goff still needs ALOT of hand-holding and we may be seeing it in the form of ill-timed TO's.
Goff can only call what the play that is sent in ...he's not out there calling his own plays, not many QB's are.....
We will have to disagree. I believe that most QB's have the ability to check out of called plays that are obvious losers from jump.

The point is that should have been a run play from the beginning knowing you have a TO to use if it doesn't work you take a crack at running the ball there, but once he wasted that time out it took any sort of run option away from this offense and made it that much easier in the defense
You'll get no argument from me on that. That was just bad. Goff isn't the only one who lost situational awareness yesterday.
